Meet the Team

Sarah Harney (centre)

IV Degree Black Belt, Head Instructor, Owner, Safeguarding lead.

Sarah founded Endeavour Tae kwon-Do in January 2020 amidst the Covid 19 pandemic to provide local communities with martial arts training and a safe place for young girls to train. Since the beginning, Endeavour has grown and exceeded all expectations, bringing home five ITF world champions and twenty medallists to our local area in 2022, championing girls in Sport as a member of the This Girl Can Movement, and receiving well earned recognition in 2024 with nominations for the Newark Community and Sports awards in addition to her induction to British University Taekwondo League's (BUTL) Hall of Fame.

Sarah is herself, a double silver medallist from ITF Open European Championships 2018 and a Silver and Bronze medallist at the ITF Open World Championships 2022. Her motto is, 'if you never endeavour, you never know'.

 

Will Harney (left)

Assistant competitive coach, II degree Black Belt.

Will began his training in Tae Kwon-Do at the age of 5. Most notable among his many achievements are his high grading successes and his sparring Bronze medal from the 2022 ITF Open World Championships. He has successfully coached many young people to their own competition success, playing a pivotal team role at Flanders fields in Belgium 2024.

 

Aidan Harney (right)

Assistant Instructor, III degree Black Belt.

Aidan is a practitioner in both ITF TKD and Kick boxing. He holds many regional and national titles. Aidan has been Assistant Instructor at the club since its first opening and currently takes the lead in sparring teaching and learning.

 

Endeavour are very lucky to have a supporting team of volunteer coaches who give their time on a weekly basis to support all our students in their endeavours, readily identifiable in Black T-shirt, if you meet them, don't forget to thank them for their time and effort.
